Happy New Year

This time last year our first day of 2012 was welcomed with a morning surf,  a plate of galo pinto and a freshly opened cocunut. 2013..... We sit here on the couch still in our pjs at noon watching a cheesy show on tv about parental dna tests debating on what to have for brunch.. Happy New Year

WHAT

Can't we all just go surfing? I fully agree with the statement " Life is better when you surf." I'm ready for my next ocean visit.

Snow????

Snow in Denver!!! Cold weather and snow are something we've yet to get used to. Thinking back to this time last year when board shorts and flip flops were the daily attire and the only real concern was what the swell was doing and where we were going to surf that day. Looking forward to spending some time near the beach for the thanksgiving holiday one full week right on the west coast. Missing what has now become a major part of our lives we reunite for some aquatic adventure. I now have the smart phone with and app for surfing which sends a daily swell report for Costa Rica up through Mexico and further up through CA, wow today looks like the surf might be gooood:) Loveland Ski Area opened on Tuesday, on mile of man made ice with a light dusting of mother nature.

Real Life

What a difference a few months hold in our daily lives! Getting settled here in Colorado has been easy however the reality of getting back into the swing of things has been harder than both of us anticipated. It's unfortunate here in the states that so many people have so little time to stop and realize how good they have it. Most people are so deep in either their phone, job or just in so much of a rush that it creates a lack appreciation for what they have. We are blessed to both have jobs and a roof over our head, but like I said before adjustment to real life is harder than I thought it would be. I miss the ocean, sunsets, wonderful people, surfing, sea food, excitement of the unknown, wild country side oh yeah and our fumbling spanish.

Much love
